Day 18 HOMS

Goodbye, Mango Street!
Do Now: Read over your revised vignette. What is one area on which you would like some feedback? Why?

Today's Learning Target:
I will be able to use a rubric and exemplar to offer feedback on a peer's vignette and to incorporate peer-feedback on my own vignette.
I will know that I have hit the learning target when...
-I can use language from the rubric or the exemplar to point of an area in need of revision on a peer's work.
-I can read over feedback from a peer and use it to clarify, expand upon, or pare down my work.

Agenda:
  1. Going over the assignment and rubric
  2. Peer Editing
  3. Closing Thoughts on The House on Mango Street

Homework: the final draft of the vignette is due Friday; in addition to revising your vignette, please work on your outside reading project (due 30 October)
PLEASE SET UP A REMINDER TO BRING YOUR OUTSIDE READING BOOK TO CLASS DURING EVERY TRIPLE (MONDAY FOR INDIGO AND WEDNESDAY FOR GREEN)
