Day 16 HOMS

Do Now: Look over the draft you wrote for today. What do you like about it? What don't you like about it? Respond in a "T" chart with at least three entries.

Today's Learning Target:
I will be able to recognize the benefits of using "definite, specific, concrete language" and revise my draft to include such language.
I will know that I have hit the learning target when...
-I can describe the difference between general and specific language.
-I can find at least three sentences in my draft that include general language and make it more specific.

Agenda:
  1. Going over the assignment and rubric
  2. Definite, specific, concrete language
  3. Revising - or re-writing - our drafts

Homework: continue to revise your rough draft (make sure you have imagery, figurative language, and a good hook)
PLEASE SET UP A REMINDER TO BRING YOUR OUTSIDE READING BOOK TO CLASS DURING EVERY TRIPLE (MONDAY FOR INDIGO AND WEDNESDAY FOR GREEN)
