Do Now: Look over your notes from the two biographies of your poet. What is one piece of information about your poet's life that you think might help you gain a better understanding of your poet's work?

Today's Learning Target: 
I will be able to locate at least five poems by my poet and think about which one I would like to imitate.

I will know that I have hit the learning target when...
-I can locate appropriate sources for poems by my poet.
-I can make thoughtful annotations of a poem that I will imitate, paying close attention to the structure, the speaker, the situation, and the literary devices the poet uses.
