Day 10 Poetry

Do Now: Please open the poetry project overview from our shared class folder. Read about the project and jot down any questions or concerns that come to mind.

Today's Learning Target: 
I will be able to explain how I can research a poet's life and use the information to help me gain a better understanding of or deeper appreciation for his/her work.
I will know that I have hit the learning target when...
-I can locate appropriate sources for biographical information.
-I can make connections between an excerpt from a biography and a poem.

3. Exit ticket: Does knowing about a poet's life help a reader better understand the poet's work?

HW: bring in your top three choices of poets for the project. Locate at least one poem by your three finalists and store it in either Drive or Notability.
