Day 6 CATCHER

Do Now: Locate at least two examples where Holden seems to be lying, exaggerating, omitting, avoiding, etc. 1) Choose language from the text that implies he isn't being wholly truthful and 2) explain why you think he's doing so.

Today's Learning Target(s):
I will be able to identify examples of a narrator's unreliability and explain why the narrator is not telling the whole truth.
I will know that I have hit the learning target when...
-I can point out examples in the text when Holden either admits to or seems to be lying.
-I can explain why I think Holden is covering up or avoiding the truth during these passages.

Agenda:
  1. reading check on chapters 10-11
  2. unreliable narration
  3. small group discussion
HW: read chapters twelve and thirteen and post on the blog (reynoldscatcher.blogspot.com)
